Together with four other innovators, Sit & Heat is in the final of The Philips Innovation Award. Every year, the organisation awards a prize to the most innovative student start-up. On 24 May, the innovators will compete for the big prize of €50,000 in the new Luxor Theatre in Rotterdam.
The organisation
The Philips Innovation Award is a platform where participants are guided by experts to come up with sustainable and valuable ideas. Participation provides access to a large network of other ambitious entrepreneurs and professionals from various companies.

More than 300 teams applied for The Philips Innovation Award this year. In the semi-finals, 30 innovators pitched, after which five finalists were chosen. Sit & Heat is one of the finalists. "My biggest dream is to provide half of the world with Sit & Heat, the cold part. Too much heat is currently lost to the outside air," says Jorg Rijkschroeff.
